ZDHHC7 is a protein coding gene.
Palmitoyltransferase with broad specificity. Palmitoylates JAM3, SNAP25, and DLG4/PSD95.
Also palmitoylates sex steroid hormone receptors (ESR1, PGR, AR), regulating their plasma membrane targeting and rapid intracellular signaling upon hormone binding.
May play a role in FSH activation of testicular Sertoli cells.
