GRIK2는 글루타메이트 이온 채널 수용체 계열의 카이네이트형 수용체로, GLuK1~GLuK5의 다섯 하위 단위를 포함합니다.
GluK2 또는 GluR6로도 알려져 있으며, 세 가지 이소폼을 가지며 C-말단이 상이합니다.
가장 긴 형태인 GluK2a는 908개의 아미노산으로 구성되어 있습니다.
