Target Description
Alpha-actinin is an actin-binding protein found in both muscle and non-muscle cells. It has a molecular weight of approximately 100 kDa and forms dimers in solution.
In skeletal muscle, α-actinin is localized to the Z-discs defining sarcomeres, while in smooth muscle it is found in dense bodies and plaques.
This antibody recognizes the non-muscle α-actinin-1 isoform, an F-actin cross-linking cytoskeletal protein.
