HumanKine Interleukin-23 (IL-23) is a heterodimeric 55 kDa cytokine composed of two glycosylated and disulfide-linked subunits (p40 cystine linked to p19). Production in human HEK 293 cells ensures authentic human-like glycosylation.
Cytokines produced in insect cells (Sf_9 or _Sf_21) may exhibit non-human post-translational modifications.
Interleukin-23 (IL-23) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine primarily synthesized by activated dendritic cells and macrophages. It is a 20.7 kDa protein consisting of 189 amino acids, expressed mainly on activated/memory T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. The IL23A gene is located on human chromosome 12q13.3.
