Target Information
SENP8 (Cysteine protease FKSG8; DEN1; FKSG8; HsT17512; NEDP1; PRSC2; SUMO/sentrin specific protease family member 8) 은 ULP family에 속하는 새로운 cysteine protease입니다.
ULP family 단백질은 C-말단의 핵심 촉매 도메인과 기질 특이성을 결정하는 N-말단 확장부로 구성됩니다.
SENP8은 24 kDa 단백질로 NEDD8 경로 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
주요 기능:
- preNEDD8을 성숙 형태로 전환
- Cullins 및 p53과 같은 기질에서 NEDD8 제거
- 과도한 neddylated cullin 축적 방지
- SCF ubiquitin ligase의 효율적 유비퀴틴화를 위한 mono-neddylated cullin 수준 유지
