Target Information
TPA converts plasminogen to plasmin by hydrolyzing a single Arg-Val bond. It plays a key role in tissue remodeling, degradation, and cell migration. TPA binds to fibrin, heparin, laminin, and fibronectin, enhancing catalytic efficiency and plasminogen activation. It also interacts with mannose receptor, LRP1, annexin II, and cytokeratin 8, contributing to clearance and regulation of plasminogen activation.
