Target Information
Histones는 진핵세포 염색체 섬유의 뉴클레오솜 구조를 형성하는 기본 핵 단백질입니다. 네 가지 핵심 히스톤(H2A, H2B, H3, H4) 각각 두 분자가 옥타머를 형성하며, 약 146 bp의 DNA가 반복 단위인 뉴클레오솜으로 감겨 있습니다. Linker histone H1은 뉴클레오솜 사이의 linker DNA와 상호작용하여 염색질을 고차 구조로 압축하는 역할을 합니다.
이 유전자는 intron이 없으며, polyA tail 대신 palindrome 종결 요소를 포함하고 있습니다. 또한, 염색체 6번의 대형 histone 유전자 군집 내에 위치합니다.
