ASGR2는 세포 표면 수용체로, 말단 갈락토스가 결합된 당단백질을 인식합니다. 이 수용체는 소포 및 소관을 통해 당단백질을 산성 분류 소기관으로 운반하며, 그곳에서 리간드와 수용체가 분리된 후 수용체는 세포 표면으로 재활용됩니다. 본 유전자는 4개의 대체 스플라이싱 전사체 변형체와 다수의 polyadenylation 부위를 가집니다.
