For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

HLA-DR, like other MHC class II molecules, is a transmembrane glycoprotein composed of a 36 kDa alpha chain (DRA) and a 27 kDa beta chain (DRB).
The alpha chain gene contains five exons:

• Exon 1 encodes the leader peptide
• Exons 2 and 3 encode the extracellular domains
• Exon 4 encodes the transmembrane domain and cytoplasmic tail

DRA acts as the sole alpha chain for DRB1, DRB3, DRB4, and DRB5, with polymorphisms present in the beta chain determining peptide binding specificity.
HLA-DR is expressed on antigen-presenting cells such as B lymphocytes, monocytes, macrophages, thymic epithelial cells, and activated T lymphocytes.
These molecules play a critical role in presenting processed peptides to T-helper cells, initiating immune responses.
