Target Information
FABP5 (fatty acid binding protein 5, psoriasis-associated)는 인간의 FABP5 유전자에 의해 발현되는 단백질로, PAFABP, EFABP, E-FABP, KFABP, PA-FABP 등으로도 알려져 있습니다.
이 단백질은 장쇄 지방산 및 기타 소수성 리간드에 결합하는 세포질 단백질 패밀리에 속하며, 135 아미노산(분자량 약 15.2 kDa)으로 구성되어 있습니다.
FABP5는 피부 세포에서 발현되는 지방산 결합 단백질로 처음 확인되었으며, 지방산의 흡수, 수송 및 대사에 관여합니다.
Kaczocha et al. (2009)은 FABP5 및 FABP7이 세포질 내에서 AEA를 세포막에서 지방산 아미드 가수분해효소로 운반하여 분해 및 불활성화시키는 역할을 한다고 보고했습니다. FABP3는 이러한 특정 운반 기능을 보이지 않았습니다.
