Target Information
WD40 repeats are common structural modules in eukaryotic proteins, involved in diverse cellular functions such as signal transduction, cell cycle regulation, RNA splicing, and transcription.
WDR92 (also known as monad) contains two WD40 repeats and is widely expressed in human tissues, particularly in the testis. Overexpression of WDR92 or its partner RPAP3 enhances apoptosis and caspase-3 activation induced by TNF-α and cycloheximide, indicating a potential role as a novel modulator of apoptosis.
