Target Information
Arginine methylation is an irreversible post-translational modification implicated in RNA processing, receptor-mediated signaling, and transcription.
At least three types of PRMT enzymes have been identified in mammalian cells, which regulate key proteins in nuclear processes, cell cycle, signal transduction, apoptosis, and viral functions.
The mammalian PRMT family consists of 7 members sharing two conserved domains, and antibodies against all PRMT members have been developed.
