Target Information
Thyroxine-binding globulin (TBG), transthyretin, albumin은 혈류 내에서 thyroid hormones인 thyroxine (T4)과 3,5,3'-triiodothyronine (T3)을 운반하는 주요 단백질입니다.
SERPINA7 유전자는 혈청 내 주요 thyroid hormone 운반 단백질인 TBG를 암호화하며, serpin family에 속하지만 다른 serpin 단백질들과 달리 억제 기능은 없습니다.
이 유전자의 돌연변이는 TBG 결핍으로 이어지며, 부분 결핍, 완전 결핍, 과잉 등으로 분류됩니다.
대체 스플라이싱된 전사체 변이들이 보고되었으나, 그 전체 길이는 아직 명확히 규명되지 않았습니다.
