The KZ-III Tissue Homogenizer (Room Temperature) uses a vertical oscillation system that reciprocates at high speed, causing pre-cooled samples in grinding tubes to collide with grinding beads. It is a specialized instrument for rapid, simultaneous multi-sample processing in research fields such as agriculture, biomedicine, and food testing.
Traditional mortar grinding is limited to one sample at a time and requires frequent cleaning and sterilization, increasing workload. The KZ-III homogenizer improves efficiency and reproducibility.

For RNA extraction, extend grinding time and add RNA extraction solution. Difficult samples may require 2–3 grinding cycles.
Strong and Tough Tissue Grinding
For hard samples (e.g., cartilage, hair):
- Cut into 1–2 mm pieces.
- Place in 2 mL tube with beads.
- Freeze in liquid nitrogen for 2–3 min.
- Dry grind for 60 s at 7 m/s.
- Add extraction solution and repeat.
- If insufficient, refreeze and repeat process.
