Target Information
ATP11B is a widely expressed integral membrane ATPase thought to drive phospholipid transport across membranes. It may be hormonally regulated and involved in subnuclear trafficking of transcription factors with RING motifs. Although the exact transported molecule is unknown, increased expression of homologous ATP11A has been linked to resistance to anti-cancer drugs such as farnesyltransferase inhibitors (FTIs), suggesting ATP11B may contribute to cell survival under stress conditions.
