S1P1은 생리활성 리소스핑고지질인 sphingosine 1-phosphate(S1P)에 대한 G-단백질 결합 수용체로, G(i) 계열의 이종삼합체 G 단백질과 결합합니다. S1P1 신호전달은 RAC1, SRC, PTK2/FAK1 및 MAP kinase의 활성화를 유도하며, 세포골격 재배열과 lamellipodia 형성을 통해 세포 이동에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 S1P1은 sphingosine kinase SPHK1의 활성 증가에 반응하는 세포 이동, 정상적인 배아 심장 발달 및 심장 형태 형성에 필수적입니다.
