PIK3CG (p110 gamma)는 class IB phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase 계열의 구성원으로, class IA 계열과 함께 중요한 세포 내 신호전달 물질인 PIP2를 생성합니다.
PIK3CG는 GPCR을 통한 신호전달에 주로 관여하며, phosphoinositides의 3-hydroxyl 그룹을 인산화하는 효소입니다.
이 단백질은 E-cadherin 매개 세포 간 접착과 관련된 신호를 조절하며, 상피세포 구조 및 기능 유지에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 또한 NK 세포의 세포독성 조절에도 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
PIK3CG 유전자는 백혈병 관련 염색체 7의 결손 부위에 위치해 있습니다.
