Target Information
GAD-65와 GAD-67은 glutamate decarboxylase로서 GABA(γ-aminobutyric acid) 생성을 촉매합니다. GABA는 중추신경계에서 주요 억제성 신경전달물질로 작용하며, Cl⁻ 전도도를 증가시켜 뉴런 발화를 억제합니다. GABA는 ionotropic 수용체(GABAA, GABAC)와 metabotropic 수용체(GABAB)를 활성화합니다.
GABAA와 GABAC는 리간드 개폐 이온 채널로서 구조적·기능적으로 구별됩니다. GABAA 수용체 가족에는 GABAA Rα1–6, β1–3, γ1–3, δ, ε, ρ1, ρ2가 포함되며, GABAB는 R1α 및 R1β로 구성됩니다. 또한 GABA 작용을 종료시키는 GABA transporter(GABA T-1, T-2, T-3)가 존재합니다.
