Target Information
This gene encodes polytransferase, but lacks an N-terminal DNA-binding domain that activates the C-terminal catalytic domain of polytransferase. The basic residues within the N-terminal region may possess DNA-binding properties and play a role in nuclear and/or nucleolar targeting. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
