PHACTR1 plays a role in:
- Cell motility and formation of tubules by endothelial cells
- Binding actin monomers (G-actin) and reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton
- Formation of actin stress fibers
- Regulation of PPP1CA activity, required for normal cell survival
