By Western blot, this antibody detects a ~66 kDa protein representing RAD17 in human heart lysate.
The PA1-4132 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues N(2) Q V T D W V D P S F D D F(15) of human RAD17.
Target Information
Rad17 is essential for sustained cell growth, maintenance of chromosomal stability, and ATR-dependent checkpoint activation upon DNA damage.
It has a weak ATPase activity required for binding to chromatin.
Rad17 also participates in the recruitment of the RAD1-RAD9-HUS1 complex and RHNO1 onto chromatin, and in CHEK1 activation.
May serve as a sensor of DNA replication progression and may be involved in homologous recombination.
