Product Specific Information

Description:
The OX104 monoclonal antibody recognizes human CD200 (OX2), a member of the Ig superfamily with two Ig domains, transmembrane and cytoplasmic regions. CD200 is expressed on resting and activated B and T cells, keratinocytes, nerve cells, follicular dendritic cells, and ovarian cells. Interaction with CD200R modulates immune responses by attenuating macrophage activation and cytokine secretion.

Applications Reported:
Suitable for flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Fluorophore Information:
PerCP-eFluor® 710 emits at 710 nm and is excited by the 488 nm blue laser. Recommended filter: 710/50 bandpass (695/40 acceptable alternative). Ensure instrument compatibility.

Fixation:
Samples may be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54).

Target Information

CD200 is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein with two immunoglobulin domains, part of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It interacts with CD200R on myeloid cells to inhibit macrophage activation. Homologues are found in herpesviruses and poxviruses. CD200 may regulate myeloid activity and deliver inhibitory signals in diverse tissues. Associated diseases include Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
