In direct ELISAs and Western blots, this antibody does not cross-react with recombinant mouse RELM beta or Resistin.

Target Information
RELM alpha (Resistin-like alpha, FIZZ1)는 주로 대식세포에서 발현되는 소형 사이토카인(88 amino acids, MW 9.4 kDa)입니다.
소복막 대식세포, 폐포 대식세포, 지방 조직 대식세포에서 높은 수준으로 발현되며, IL-4 및 IL-13에 의해 강하게 유도됩니다.
Arginase 1 및 Ym-1과 함께 M2형 대식세포의 대표적 표지자로 알려져 있습니다.
IL-10로 유도된 M2c 대식세포에서는 RELM alpha 및 Arginase 1이 발현되지 않습니다.
RELM alpha의 상승된 수준은 기생충 감염을 시사할 수 있으며, 인간에는 RELM alpha 유전자가 없지만 인간 Resistin은 서열, 조직 분포 및 기능 면에서 유사합니다.
Mouse RELM family에는 RELM beta, RELM gamma, Resistin이 있으며, 각각 다른 조직 분포와 기능을 가집니다.
RELM alpha는 기생충 감염, 점막 염증 및 알레르기 반응에서 중요한 역할을 합니다.
