Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Metadherin (MTDH, also known as LYRIC) is a novel protein associated with tight junction proteins ZO-1 and occludin in polarized epithelial cells.
It is not a structural component but is recruited during tight junction maturation.
Metadherin is overexpressed in breast cancer tissues and xenografts, with lower expression in normal breast tissue.
It binds to lung vasculature via a C-terminal extracellular domain segment; blocking this domain or inhibiting metadherin expression can reduce breast cancer metastasis.
