Target Information

ZNF322 contains four exons and spans 23.2 kb in chromosome 6p22.1 region, transcribing a 2.7 kb mRNA encoding a 402 amino acid protein.
Northern blot analysis shows expression in all human tissues examined at adult and embryonic stages (80 days–24 weeks).
Overexpression in COS-7 cells localizes ZNF322-EGFP fusion protein to nucleus and cytoplasm. Reporter gene assays demonstrate ZNF322 acts as a transcriptional activator, enhancing SRE and AP-1 activity.
These findings indicate ZNF322 is a zinc-finger transcription factor potentially regulating gene transcription via MAPK signaling pathways.
