Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).

Target Information

Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) regulates cell growth, motility, and morphogenesis by activating a tyrosine kinase signaling cascade through binding to the proto-oncogenic c-Met receptor.
Secreted by mesenchymal cells, HGF acts as a multifunctional cytokine on epithelial cells, promoting mitogenesis, motility, and matrix invasion, which are essential in angiogenesis, tumorogenesis, and tissue regeneration.
It is secreted as a single inactive polypeptide and cleaved by serine proteases into a 69-kDa alpha-chain and 34-kDa beta-chain, linked by a disulfide bond to form the active heterodimer.
Although belonging to the plasminogen subfamily of S1 peptidases, HGF has no detectable protease activity.
Alternative splicing generates multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
