Target Information
VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor)은 45 kDa의 동질이합체(disulfide-linked glycoprotein)로, 혈관신생(angiogenesis)에 관여하며 종양의 진행과 전이를 촉진합니다.
VEGF는 혈관 내피세포의 생존, 유사분열, 화학유인, 그리고 혈관 투과성을 촉진하는 다양한 효과를 나타냅니다.
VEGF 패밀리에는 VEGF-A, VEGF-B, VEGF-C, VEGF-D, VEGF-E, PIGF가 포함되며, VEGF와 그 수용체 시스템은 혈관신생의 세포 신호 조절에 핵심적인 역할을 합니다.
VEGF는 FLT1(VEGFR-1) 및 FLK1/KDR(VEGFR-2) 수용체에 결합하며, 이들은 주로 내피세포에서 발현됩니다.
