IRF8 (interferon regulatory factor 8)는 전사 활성화 또는 억제 인자로 작용하며, type I IFN 및 IFN-inducible MHC class I 유전자의 상류 조절 영역에 결합합니다.
면역세포에서 BATF-JUNB 헤테로다이머와 복합체를 형성하여 CD8+ 수지상세포 분화에 관여하며, AICE 서열을 인식해 유전자 발현을 조절합니다.
IRF8 유전자의 돌연변이는 면역결핍증 32A 및 32B를 유발할 수 있습니다.
