Target Information
Monoglyceride lipase (MGLL) functions with hormone-sensitive lipase to hydrolyze intracellular triglyceride stores in adipocytes and other cells, releasing fatty acids and glycerol. MGLL may also complement lipoprotein lipase in completing hydrolysis of monoglycerides derived from lipoprotein triglyceride degradation.
