Target Information
MAP2K2 (MEK2)는 mitogen growth factor 신호전달에 중요한 역할을 하는 dual specificity serine/threonine kinase입니다. MEK2(MAPKK2)는 ERK1/2 및 MAPK 효소를 활성화시키는 tyrosine/threonine protein kinase 계열 단백질로, TEY 모티프 내의 threonine/glutamate/tyrosine 잔기를 인산화하여 활성화합니다. MEK1과 MEK2는 serine 218 및 222 잔기에서 이중 인산화되어 활성화되며, MEK1의 threonine 292는 ERK2에 의해 인산화되어 음성 피드백 조절 역할을 합니다.
