Target Information
The YEATS domain-containing protein 2 (YEATS2) is a nuclear protein phosphorylated upon DNA damage by ATM or ATR and contains one YEATS domain. The YEATS2 gene resides on chromosome 3, which spans approximately 214 million bases and encodes over 1,100 genes. This chromosome includes a chemokine receptor gene cluster and several human cancer-related loci. Deletions in the short arm of chromosome 3 are common in various cancer cells. Key tumor suppressor genes on chromosome 3 include RASSF1 (apoptosis mediator), HYAL1 (cell migration regulator), and SEMA3B (angiogenesis suppressor).
