Target Information
The RNF40 protein contains a RING finger motif known for mediating protein–protein and protein–DNA interactions. It has been reported to interact with tumor suppressor protein RB1. Studies in rats suggest RNF40 may act as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase, facilitating the ubiquitination and degradation of syntaxin 1, a key component of the neurotransmitter release machinery.
