Target Information
IRAK3 (interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase 3) is a serine/threonine kinase and a member of the interleukin-1 receptor-associated kinase protein family, essential for Toll/IL-R immune signal transduction pathways.
It is primarily expressed in monocytes and macrophages and functions as a negative regulator of Toll-like receptor signaling.
IRAK3 mediates critical aspects of innate immunity and may contribute to immunocompromised states during sepsis.
Mutations in IRAK3 are associated with susceptibility to asthma.
