Target Information
BTLA (B and T-lymphocyte attenuator) is a co-inhibitory receptor of the CD28 superfamily. It functions as a lymphocyte inhibitory receptor that modulates immune responses. BTLA is constitutively expressed on most CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, decreasing upon activation, and remains on Th1 cells but not Th2 cells. It interacts with the TNF receptor superfamily member HVEM, playing a key role in regulating lymphocyte activation and homeostasis.
