Pan Cadherin (CDH1, CDH2, CDH3, CDH4)는 칼슘 의존적 세포 간 부착을 매개하는 막관통 단백질 군에 속합니다. 이들은 발생 과정 중 형태형성 운동을 조절하고, 동일한 카드헤린 종과의 상동성 접착을 통해 세포 표면 부착을 조절합니다.
N-cadherin은 actin-cytoskeleton과의 결합을 통해 기능하며, C-말단 영역과 catenin 단백질 간 상호작용으로 매개됩니다. 이러한 결합의 안정성은 β-catenin의 인산화 및 탈인산화에 의해 조절됩니다.
