Target Information
GALNT9 유전자는 UDP-N-acetyl-alpha-D-galactosamine:polypeptide N-acetylgalactosaminyltransferase (GalNAc-T) 계열 효소 중 하나를 암호화합니다. GalNAc-T 효소는 골지체 내에서 Serine 및 Threonine 잔기에 GalNAc를 전달하여 점액형 O-결합 당화(mucin-type O-linked glycosylation)를 시작합니다.
이 효소들은 N-말단 막관통 도메인, 줄기 영역, GT1 모티프와 Gal/GalNAc transferase 모티프를 포함하는 루멘 촉매 도메인, 그리고 C-말단 ricin/lectin 유사 도메인을 특징으로 합니다.
GalNAc-T 계열 효소는 서로 다른 기질 특이성과 발현 패턴을 가지며, GALNT9는 뇌에서 특히 소뇌에서 높은 수준으로 발현됩니다.
