These enzymes catalyze NADPH-dependent oxidative metabolism of drugs, pesticides, and other xenobiotics. Their substrates are soft nucleophiles with electron-rich centers, typically containing nitrogen, sulfur, or phosphorus functional groups as oxidative attack sites.
