Target Information
ATMIN (ATM/ATR-substrate CHK2-interacting zinc finger protein), also known as ASCIZ, forms DNA damage-induced nuclear foci containing Rad51. It is involved in embryonic development, with absence causing late-embryonic lethality and organ development defects in mice.
ATMIN activates transcription of DYNLL1, a dynein motor complex light chain and regulator of protein dimerization. DYNLL1 can bind and inhibit ATMIN’s transcription activation domain, forming a feedback loop for DYNLL1 expression.
