Target Information
The ATM/ATR-substrate CHK2-interacting zinc finger protein (ATMIN), also known as ASCIZ, forms DNA damage-induced nuclear foci that contain the DNA repair protein Rad51.
ATMIN is involved in embryonic development, where its absence leads to late-embryonic lethality and organ development defects in mice.
It activates transcription of DYNLL1, a light chain of the dynein motor complex, and regulates protein dimerization through a feedback loop with DYNLL1.
