Chromogranin A (CHGA)는 신경내분비 분비 단백질인 chromogranin/secretogranin 패밀리의 구성원입니다.
신경세포와 내분비세포의 분비 소포에서 발견되며, vasostatin, pancreastatin, parastatin 세 가지 생물학적 활성 펩타이드의 전구체로 작용합니다.
이들 펩타이드는 신경내분비 시스템의 자가 및 측분비 음성 조절자로 작용합니다.
CHGA는 carcinoid 종양, pheochromocytoma, paraganglioma 및 기타 신경내분비 종양의 우수한 마커로 알려져 있습니다.
Chromogranin A와 neuron specific enolase (NSE)의 공발현은 신경내분비 신생물에서 흔히 관찰됩니다.
