Target Information
The PPIL2 gene belongs to the cyclophilin family of peptidylprolyl isomerases. Cyclophilins are a conserved and ubiquitous protein family involved in protein folding, immunosuppression by cyclosporin A, and HIV-1 infection processes. This protein interacts with the proteinase inhibitor eglin c and is localized in the nucleus. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified for this gene.
