Target Information

Brg1 (Brahma-related gene 1) is an ATPase subunit of SWI2/SNF2-like chromatin-remodeling complexes that facilitate access of transcription, DNA repair, and replication proteins.
Although Brg1-containing complexes are not essential for general cell survival, they regulate the transcription of hundreds of genes involved in interferon response, immune cell differentiation, neurogenesis, and cell cycle control. Brg1 is critical for mouse embryogenesis and plays roles in cell growth arrest, senescence, and tumor suppression.
