Target Information
Neurotrophic factors control the survival, differentiation, and maintenance of neurons in the peripheral and central nervous systems, as well as other neural crest-derived cell types. Developing sympathetic neurons are dependent upon nerve growth factor (NGF) during the period of target competition in vivo. Antibodies specific to NGFR p75 are valuable tools for detecting and characterizing NGFR p75, aiding in the study of neuronal development, plasticity, and repair.
