Target Information
EPHB2 is a receptor tyrosine kinase belonging to the ephrin receptor family. Members of the Eph family play essential roles in biological processes such as nervous system development, angiogenesis, and synapse formation and maturation.
Ephrins are divided into two classes based on structure and sequence: ephrin-A (EFNA), which are GPI-anchored, and ephrin-B (EFNB), which are transmembrane proteins. Eph receptors are similarly divided into two groups according to extracellular domain similarity and ligand affinity. EphB4 binds ephrin-B2 and is critical for vascular development.
