TRABD2B (TraB Domain Containing 2B)는 단백질 코딩 유전자로, 관련된 GO(유전자 온톨로지) 주석에는 metalloendopeptidase 활성 및 Wnt-단백질 결합이 포함됩니다.
이 유전자의 중요한 paralog는 TRABD2A입니다.
TRABD2B는 특정 Wnt 단백질의 N-말단 8개 아미노산 잔기를 절단하여 Wnt 신호 경로의 음성 조절자로 작용하는 metalloprotease입니다. 절단 후 Wnt 단백질은 산화되어 이황화 결합으로 이루어진 큰 올리고머를 형성하며, 이는 비활성화를 유도합니다.
WNT3A, WNT5를 절단할 수 있으나 WNT11은 절단하지 않습니다. 머리 형성에 필요합니다.
