Rabbit anti-mouse glucose transporter 3 antibody recognizes the mouse GLUT3 protein, also known as Solute Carrier Family 2, facilitated glucose transporter member 3, or Glucose transporter type 3 (brain).
Target Information
Glucose is fundamental to mammalian cell metabolism. Several glucose transporter (GLUT) isoforms function in response to insulin and IGF1 signaling.
GLUT3 is detectable in:
- Spermatids in testis with active spermatogenesis
- Placental trophoblast membranes
- Neurons in brain
GLUT3 expression is also observed in certain human cancers, including those of the ovary, lung, and testis.
