Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Zinc-finger proteins contain DNA-binding domains and have diverse functions, primarily involving transcriptional activation or repression.
ZDHHC1 (zinc finger, DHHC-type containing 1), also known as ZNF377 or C16orf1, is a 485-amino-acid multi-pass membrane protein with one DHHC-type zinc finger. It is expressed in fetal heart, lung, and kidney, as well as in adult lung and pancreas.
ZDHHC1 functions as a palmitoyltransferase catalyzing the conversion of palmitoyl-CoA and protein-cysteine to S-palmitoyl protein and CoA.
Similar to ZDHHC1, ZDHHC5, ZDHHC6, ZDHHC7, and ZDHHC18 also contain DHHC-type zinc fingers that confer palmitoyltransferase activity against a broad range of substrates, including H-Ras, SNAP25, and GABA_A receptor proteins.
