Target Information
WD repeat domain 18 (WDR18) is a member of the WD repeat protein family, involved in diverse cellular processes such as cell cycle progression, signal transduction, apoptosis, and gene regulation. WD repeats are approximately 40 amino acids long and typically form a propeller-like tertiary structure.
WDR18 is a 432-amino acid protein containing six WD repeats, encoded by a gene on human chromosome 19. It may play a role in development. The PELP1–TEX10–WDR18 complex is essential for maturation and nucleolar release of the large ribosomal subunit.
