Target Information

MAGEA6는 MAGEA 유전자 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, 이 패밀리의 구성원들은 전체 코딩 서열이 마지막 엑손에 위치하며, 상호 간에 50~80%의 서열 동일성을 보입니다.
이 유전자군의 프로모터와 첫 번째 엑손은 다양성을 보여, 동일한 기능이 서로 다른 전사 조절 하에서 발현될 수 있도록 합니다.
MAGEA 유전자들은 다양한 조직형의 종양에서 높은 수준으로 발현되며, 정상 조직에서는 고환과 태반을 제외하고는 발현되지 않습니다.
이 유전자들은 염색체 Xq28에 군집되어 있으며, 일부 유전 질환(예: dyskeratosis congenita)과 관련이 있을 수 있습니다.
