Target Information

BMPR1B (also known as ALK6, CDw293) is a transmembrane serine/threonine kinase and a member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) receptor family, closely related to activin receptors ACVR1 and ACVR2. It plays a key role in endochondral bone formation and embryogenesis. BMPR1B is expressed in normal and cancerous prostate tissues and may be relevant in endocrine therapy for prostate cancer. BMPR1B receptor trafficking is also significant in FOP pathogenesis and human T-cell differentiation.
